Landscape Architecture

The Landscape Architect meetswith clients, listens to their needs, and if hired, makes an agreement to perform specified and limited design and planning, consultation or project management services.

Services requested vary and may include:
Site analysis
Applications for environmental review, such as NEPA, CEQA, submittal of Initial Study forms, or Negative Declarations and other procedures to comply with environmental and planning laws.
Project management, from conceptual design to landscape or circulation plans and specifications to put out to bid, observation during installations, and may include other professional services as agreed in the contract.
Compliance with Best Management Practices “BMPs” in the Lake Tahoe Basin and Truckee areas with rock, collection basins, reduction of erosion
Accessible places per ADA  with ramps, rails, parking, and suitable design and other accommodations for people with varied abilities.

Trees for shade and cooling of torrid summer climates
Provision for bird, butterfly and other wildlife habitat

General drainage if not requiring an engineer
Art in the garden: sculpture or fountains and water features by others
